Additional Awards – these are additional awards/divisions you may enter (if qualified) in addition to your entry in one of the regular USEF and USEA classes above.  These divisions are placed separately from the open divisions.  If entering, specify on entry form in addition to USEA Classes above:

Entries
a) Cost per class:

Entries Postmarked August 13 – August 27:  Beginner Novice $175, Novice $185, Training $195, Preliminary $205, Advanced and Intermediate CT’s $85.

Entries Postmarked August 28 – September 10:  Beginner Novice $215, Novice $225, Training $235, Preliminary $245 Advanced and Intermediate CT’s $100.

b) Double entries not accepted.

c) Non-competing horses must pay a $25 fee, plus the $20 haul in fee, sign in at the office and wear an assigned number while on the Horse Park grounds.

d) No changes to entry after closing date, unless allowed by the secretary, but absolutely no changes will be accepted after September 29. Each change will cost $30.

e) Make checks payable to: ESDCTA, Inc., include e-mail address on entry.

f) Negative Coggins within 12 months is required.

g) Post entries accepted after the closing date through September 24 at the discretion of the organizer and will incur a $50 late fee.

i) PLASTIC BIB PINNIES WILL BE USED!

Refund policy:

Refunds must be received in writing or email.

Prior to closing date:  Refunds will be given for entry cancellations less the $25 office fee. Stabling refunded in full.

After the closing date:  Refunds will be given for entry cancellations less the $25 office fee, if the ride times can be filled from the waiting list.   Stabling refunded regardless less $25 per day/night.

Refunds due to injury of horse or rider:  Rider/Owner MUST notify the secretary in writing or via email prior to the competition and MUST provide doctor/veterinary note specifically indicating that rider/horse are not physically able to compete at the competition.  Entry refunds will be given as follows:   Beg Nov $85, Nov $95, Tr:  $110, Prelim:  $120, CT:  $50.  Stabling refunded less $15 per day/night.

No refunds are guaranteed for “acts of god” which require management to cancel divisions or day of competition, however if possible a partial refund may be given.

Schedule
Saturday, September 28 – Cross country courses open for inspection at 3 pm.
Sunday, September 39 – 8:00 am – Dressage (order of go Advanced (CT), Intermediate (CT), Prelim, Training, Nov, Beg Nov), Stadium Jumping starts at 9:30 am, Cross country starts at 9:42 am – Cross Country ride times will be 10-12 minutes after horse’s Stadium round.

Awards
Regular Divisions (all competitors are entered in the regular USEA divisions that they specify): Trophy and 8 ribbons in each division.

Arenas
Small arenas (except FEI tests) – All-weather footing composed of sand and screenings for dressage and stadium arenas.

Stabling
275 10′ x 10’permanent stalls on grounds, $65/night. Day stalls available at $55/ea. Stall doors only provided. Stall doors provided.  Stall Deposit:  Send a separate check for $50. Check will be destroyed if stall is stripped. Bedding available for purchase. Additional info from secretary. NO STRAW ALLOWED.

Beginner Novice: 2018 USEF Beginner Novice Test B
Novice: 2018 USEF Novice Test B

Cross Country
Lengths and speeds for levels:

BN-1900m @ 350 mpm
N-2100m @ 400 mpm
T-2400m @450 mpm
P-2900m @ 550 mpm

Terrain
Rolling, great footing. BN, N, T, P courses: Average difficulty for horses with some experience at these levels. Water complex for all levels!

Show Jumping – will be held on sand.

  • Intermediate and Advanced CT’s to help horses and riders prepare for Fair Hill
  • Divisions will be further divided or combined if entries warrant.
  • State experience on entry.
  • Dogs must be leashed – preferably left at home!
  • Food available on grounds.
  • Secretary can be reached during show at 609.259.1881.
  • TIP awards for best placing registered Thoroughbred in each division; be sure to have horse registered with TIP! Please include the TIP number on your entry.
  • If there are discrepancies between this publication and the USEA, the USEA information will take precedence.

Motorized Vehicle Statement
Minors who do not have a valid driver’s license which allows them to operate a motorized vehicle in the state in which they reside will not be permitted to operate a motorized vehicle of any kind, including, but
not limited to, golf carts, motorcycles, scooters, or farm utility vehicles, on the competition grounds of licensed competitions. Minors who have a valid temporary license may operate the above described motorized vehicles as long as they are accompanied by an adult with a valid driver’s license. The
parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating a motorized vehicle in violation of this rule are solely responsible for any damages, claims, losses or actions resulting from that operation. Violations of this rule will be cause for penalties against those responsible for the child committing the offense. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
The unsafe use of personal electronic transport devices, as determined by the competition officials and management in their sole discretion, that do not require a driver’s license to operate, including but not limited to segways, hover boards, and single wheeled scooters is prohibited on competition grounds.
Operating such devices in areas where people gather may be deemed “unsafe use” if there is a risk of harm to others. If the operator of the device is a minor, the parent/legal guardian or individual who signs the entry blank as a parent or guardian of a minor operating the device in violation of this rule is accountable and may be subject to penalties. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistance devices for individuals with disabilities are exempt from this rule.
