Eventing Year End Awards – Categories

Eventing Year-End Award Categories: Combined Tests (Starter, Beginner Novice, Novice, Training and Preliminary) and Horse Trials (Starter, Beginner Novice, Novice, Training and Preliminary)

Combined Tests Year-End Awards (Dressage and Stadium only)

Starter Division

  • Jump Height – 2′ to 2’3″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Beginner Novice Test A or Test B or above
  • Divisions below or above these jump heights and/or events using a USDF Intro A or B test, or any other Walk/Trot dressage test cannot be used towards the Starter Division Combined Test Year-End Award.

Beginner Novice Division

  • Beginner Novice Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rulebook.
  • Jump height – up to 2’7″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Beginner Novice Test A or Test B

Novice Division

  • Novice Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rulebook.
  • Jump height – up to 2’11”
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Novice Test A or Test B

Training Division

  • Training Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rulebook.
  • Jump height – up to 3’3″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Training Test A or Test B

Preliminary Division

  • Preliminary Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rulebook.
  • Jump height – up to 3’7″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Preliminary Test A or Test B

Horse Trials Year-End Awards (Dressage, Cross Country & Stadium)

Starter Division

  • Jump Height – 2′ to 2’3″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Beginner Novice Test A or Test B or above
  • Divisions below or above these jump heights and/or events using a USDF Intro A or B test, or any other Walk/Trot dressage test cannot be used toward the Starter Division Eventing Year-End Award.

Beginner Novice Division

  • Beginner Novice Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rule book.
  • Jump height – up to 2’7″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Beginner Novice Test A or Test B

Novice Division

  • Novice Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rule book.
  • Jump height – up to 2’11”
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Novice Test A or Test B

Training Division

  • Training Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rule book.
  • Jump height – up to 3’3″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Training Test A or Test B

Preliminary Division

  • Preliminary Division falls under the guidelines of the current USEA rule book.
  • Jump height – up to 3’7″
  • Dressage Test – current USEA Preliminary Test A or Test B

Masters Recognition Award for both Combined Tests and Horse Trials

  • For members who are 50 and older by November 1st of the show season for which they are applying for an Eventing Year-End Award – honor system applies.
  • Applicant must be an amateur as defined by the USEF.
  • Applicant must be applying for an Eventing Year-End Award – this is not a stand alone award.
  • One award will be given per level.
  • Award is determined by median score of eligible applicants regardless of placement. Ties will not be broken.
  • Indicate eligibility by checking off appropriate box on the Eventing Score Record Form.
