Why Us?  – Owner, trainer & staff combined have over 50 years of experience in horse care. Riding just for fun or competitively climbing up the levels, we offer a customized training program, clinics and seminars. Join our show team and participate in Schooling and Recognized Shows in the Tristate area. Interested in freestyle, pas des deux or quadrille  or just want to enjoy the trails? Jersey Palms Farm and Lisa Basselini Dressage welcome you.

The Owners – Karin Worm, a successful amateur dressage competitor, recent L-Graduate and medicinal chemist with a day job, decided at the tender age of 8 that she wanted to learn how to ride dressage. With one lesson a week that took a while, even in Germany. Coming to the US for school and staying for a career in the pharmaceutical industry she met Lisa at Los Alamos in 1999 and the rest is history.

Axel Metzger, also a medicinal chemist is the best “horse husband” and show supporter one could wish for. Even though not riding himself he is a talented horse photographer and makes sure that operations on the farm are running smoothly.

The Trainer – Lisa Basselini, FEI rider, trainer, USDF Bronze and Silver Medalist, apprenticed under Dr. Gail Hoff-Carmona at Los Alamos Dressage Center (the first Dressage School in the United States), and has ridden with former Olympian Robert Dover, as well as Scott Hassler (USDF National Young Horse Coach) and Heather Mason (recipient of the Carol Lavell Advanced Dressage Prize 2012 and USEF S judge).
Lisa is highly experienced preparing young horses for performance testing and has brought a number of riders and horses successfully up the levels. She emphasizes correct basics and creates a fun and rewarding learning environment for horse and rider.
