As a non profit organization, ESDCTA needs volunteers in order to function.

ESDCTA Volunteer Incentive Program

VIP = Very Important Person = Our Volunteers

The success of any ESDCTA event is dependent upon the members and non-members who work as volunteers for countless numbers of hours. We want everyone to know how much we appreciate this effort and how very special we think you are. Thank You!

Volunteer requirements for Year End Awards, Medals, Teams, and Grants are listed in the Omnibus.

ESDCTA Volunteer:
Whenever a member provides volunteer hours at our shows, they will be treated as a VIP, and will be provided with:

1. An assignment based on your preference and experience
2. A partner in order for you to get experience
3. Food, drinks and breaks
4. ESDCTA T-shirt which we ask that you wear to future ESDCTA snows as a volunteer
5. Thank You basket raffle to be awarded each day to a lucky volunteer winner
6. Announcement of your name during the show
7. Volunteer hours for pre-show setup and take down have a double value
8. Pictures of “volunteers at work” published in the newsletter
9. Year end volunteer awards
10. Volunteer of the Year for Dressage
11. Volunteer of the Year for Eventing

Volunteer “Bucks:”
Many members volunteer many more hours than the amount needed for year end awards.
The Volunteer “Bucks” program was adopted as a way for members to use volunteer hours that are not bemg used for awards by converting hours to Volunteer “Bucks.”

4 hours of volunteer time = $5 “bucks”

8 hours of volunteer time = $10 “bucks”

How the “Bucks” Program Works:
Send signed volunteer form and self-addressed stamped envelope to:

You will receive a signed Volunteer “Bucks” certificate. You may use the certificate at any ESDCTA horse show, clinic, lecture, etc. Include the Volunteer “Bucks” certificate along with your entry form and check. Deduct the value of the Volunteer “Bucks” certificate from the total cost of the entry.

There is no limit to the amount of Volunteer “Bucks” a member may earn. A maximum of $10 “Bucks” may be used per show, clinic, lecture etc. Volunteer “Bucks” certificates are valid for 3 years. Volunteer “Bucks” are valid at ESDCTA events only, not farm shows, farm organized clinics, etc.

Relatives and friends who volunteer at ESDCTA shows may transfer their volunteer hours to an ESDCTA member for use with the Bucks Program only. Please use the 2008 volunteer form.
